Viewing PowerBase data with RTS Print and BackupMerge

Causes of Issue
---
It is often necessary to move RTS library routines in or out of PowerBase, or view the test results stored in PowerBase in a different way. It is possible to use the RTS Tools RTS Print and BackupMerge with PowerBase.

Solution to this Issue
---
1 - Open up RTS
2 - Select Utilities->RTS Options Editor from the menu
3 - Select the External Programs Tab.
4 - In the PowerBase interaction with RTS tab Make sure you have the proper database engine selected, and the proper entries given. These entries should duplicate what is in your Pbase.ini file located in the install directory of PowerBase.
5 - Save the Changes
Once these options are entered. One can select the PowerBase database when selecting databases in RTS Print and BackupMerge.
When the select database button is pressed, an open file dialog will appear. In the "Files of Type" box at the bottom of that dialog, select the database engine your PowerBase database resides on.
Next, enter the word "PowerBase" in the "File Name" box and click open.
You should then be able to interact with the data in PowerBase in the same way you can any RTS database. |
