In order to help our customers stay in compliance we have changed many of our SEL tests. The changes made will help customers stay in compliance with CIP standards. Changes included passwords not saving to the routine or the results. We advise you to update to our latest database in hopes that you use the routines while staying in compliance with NERC standards.
Causes of Issue | |||||
For older customers it has been called to our attention that their previous results may still have passwords so we have included a way to take care of that issue and update your results without tampering or endangering the results. Below is the procedure to get rid of passwords in previous results. Please make sure to update your database as we have taken care of this procedure, and will no longer include passwords within RTS.
Solution to this Issue | |||||
Changes have been made in RTS and SEL Test procedures to allow all SEL passwords to be removed from the database, including pre-existing results. ALL SEL routines in the FasData.mdr database have had password entries removed from the Global Defines and rely on the User to enter the relay passwords when running the Log in to relay test. The RTS Tools program has an option in the Modify Global Defines window that allows all passwords to be removed from the System Routines and/or Results. Steps to delete passwords from all Linked System Routines and all Test Results 1. Backup your database before making any modifications. This is just in case you make a mistake 2. Open RTS Tools, choose the Modify Global Defines window and select the Delete Global tab 3. Enter into Variable Name [ ACC$ ] 4. Check Delete Global Variables in Linked System Routines 5. Choose the Delete Global button (ACC$ entry and comments will be deleted from System Routines) 6. Choose the Delete Global Results tab 7. Choose the Delete Global button (ACC$ entry and comments will be deleted from Results) 8. Change name in Variable Name to [ACC2$ ] 9. Choose the Delete Global button (ACC2$ entry and comments will be deleted from Results) 10. Choose the Delete Global tab 11. Choose the Delete Global button (ACC$ entry and comments will be deleted from System Routines) 12. Close the RTS Tools program |
